I guess that is what does help keep me motivated...to try to do all that
IS expected (impossible).

But sometimes I compare the teaching of art to that of someone teaching
one of the "other core" subjects. Their jobs must be so "boring".
There are so many ways to teach the same "old" concepts in art, that
there is no way an art teacher should EVER get stale or bored in her/his
lessons. Just the fact that we try to be creative in all the lessons
we teach keeps us motivated, or it does me. Seeing something in a new
way is motivating. Sharing with others on the ArtsEdNet is
motivating...it keeps us thinking...sharing new ideas...learning in
itself is motivating.
