I also need to recommend the Center for the Book Arts. I took a
workshop there many years ago and was an incredibly inspiring weekend.

Congratulations to all of you whose proposals were accepted. It's such
a great feeling to
"give back" to our profession. I'm totally impressed you've already
been notified. There
were a few years when we didn't get notified 'til January or February.
One year, the sessions
were published online before I even got my notification; I only found
out here on this list
from someone who saw my name in the program!
The convention is a blast, and Minneapolis' downtown is like a Habitrail
hamster environment.
Do go see the Minn. Institute of the Arts. It's the only museum I've
been in that has a whole
(tiny) gallery of Inuit art. Also, if there are any off-site workshops
at the Minn. Center
for Book Arts, sign up immediately! At least go visit it. Avoid the
gift shop unless you're
extremely disciplined!
