I wish that you would teach students how--
To live this life on earth,
To face its struggles and its strife
And to improve their worth.
Not just the lesson in a book,
Or how the rivers flow,
But to choose the proper path,
Wherever they may go.
To understand eternal truth,
And know right from wrong,
And gather all the beauty of
A flower and a song,
For if they help the world to grow
In wisdom and grace,
Then I feel that I have won
And I have filled my place.
And so I ask your assistance
That I may do my part,
For character and confidence
And happiness of heart.

I believe it is now "my mission" to teach character education through you.
Create your own little world in your art room. Remove all hostility.
Teach tolerance and understanding - show respect and you will receive respect.
P.S. Getty sure was quiet yesterday... I was gone all day. Went to
Columbus to see my dear friend Ann-on-y-mouse. We had a grand time. I
bought some beautiful papers for my altered books from Utrecht. I was
like a kid in the candy store - so many choices!
