Interdisciplinary - Petroglyph rock art lesson idea (elementary)

Dear Art Educators,

Here are easy hands-on activities that a classroom
teacher can do with a unit on Anasazi (social studies)
or petroglyphs/pictographs (science).

Jan Hillmer did this lesson in a very short time -

(clay would have to be dried ahead of time). You don't
need to be an art teacher to do these lesson ideas
(although it helps -smile)
Students could even do both to help learn the
difference between pictographs (drawn or painted) and
petroglyphs (carved or incised).
