I tell my kids to color with black last too, and my kids still forget
from time to time. I keep a rounded point scratch knife in each oil
pastel bin. If they make a mistake with color they can scratch it off
with the scratch knife and they don't have to be stuck with it. They
can also sgrafito with it. They really like having the scratchpoints
while coloring with oil pastels.
