As someone who teaches puppetry traditions, I would recommend marionettes,
shadowpuppets, or handpuppets (i.e. like the muppet..meaning large and using
foam, fake fur,etc).

  What do you think? I'm looking for better ideas to represent
characteristics of Aesop's Fables.
