I did just write a note to Prang at www.prang.com about the white in the
16 color paint box. I suggested they add a gold or some other really
cool color, or paynes gray, or a reddish or yellowish brown. I
mentioned the fact that their white confuses children and tempts them to
use it to mix with colors rather than using water to lighten. I added
that they white makes their otherwise beautiful, brilliant, translucent
colors opaque and chalky and looks out of place with the rest of the
colors in a watercolor painting. Just my 2 cents, but I feel better
now, haha. They could even add a second pan of yellow or blue! We run
out of those two colors first every year in every set!
