Still hashing out this project for my ninth grade class and thanks to all
who sent or gave me feedback on this. I'd like to get the list's opininion on
choosing an artist.
Originally I was going to stick to fine artists and have my students
choose one of their likeing but now I"m wondering if I should open it up a bit.
What about cartoonists (CHarles M Schulz, Gary Larson, etc), Fashion designers
(Kate Spade,etc) and maybe even Comic book illustrators.
I'm thinking this would really get some of the stubborn ones more
motivated. They will have to create an inspired artwork based on their artist.
Can anyone offfer an opinion on mixing the fine arts with the media or
commericial arts on a project like this?
