Carol - instead of throwing away the black oval pan, why not use it for
value study? Last year I had my grade 7 and 8 use only black with water to
recreate b&w photos from magzines - it was a great exercise in value study! I'm
looking forward to answers to your question about the liquid watercolors -
I've not used the ones I bought last year yet! Sandy
