I love Prang too, but all watercolors get so soggy and sticky with
repeated use. You REALLY have to TEACH kids how to use them when they
are sticky. All sorts of issues come up. If I had a dollar for every
time I have told them to keep a test sheet next to their watercolor box
and test the color before painting with it, especially in a small area,
I would be rich!!! RICH!!!!
I personally like it when they get sticky and soggy, as it is easier to
mix washes that way. I am about to post my 3rd grade ocean watercolors.
I am SO happy because they really did a great job with managing the
sticky paints. Nobody in the class of 60 has sticky, shiny, too thick
watercolor on their page!!!!! YEA!!!! What an achievement!!!!!
