"Fine Art" pins. Cut the images out of art print
catalogs and collage onto small pieces of painted wood
(paint thin wood rectangles gloss black). Glue on pin
back. Accent pin with gold or silver paint marker and
puffy paints (Tulip brand has a finer tip). Glue on
sequins/beads if desired. Some of the more modern art
images might look nice with wire relief (add twisted
wire beads) or mat board scrap relief, too.
Experiment.
Interesting pins can be made from puzzle pieces, too.
