Need advice for Large Format Printers

Hi, all,
Speaking of prints, my school is in the market for a large format printer.
My principal was shown a ProImage PLUS 3000 Poster Printer w/ProLynxll . I was
told to consider the Hewlett Packard HP Designjet 755cm, or facsimile. Does
anyone have knowledge or experience with either one or with both? What are
the differences and which would you recommend? Does anyone know the cost of the
HP one? The internet source does not list the price. I'm pinching myself
that I (hopefully, if they order the right one) will be able to scan in any size
picture and come out with a poster size 33"x 23" print! Thanks for any help.
