In the Dallas Metroplex area teacher are getting approximately 35,000 to
38,000, yet the insurance is high!

You hooked me on that one:
Teachers will make $30,000 as beginning teachers in Martin County in
Florida
and $29,000 in St. Lucie County in Florida after contracts are settled.
Pay
scale doesn't go anywhere after the first ten years. Which means that
you're
looking at the same salary for at least three to four years.
