Thank you for contacting us concerning ScottsŪ products. As always it is
our goal to make sure that our
customers are completely satisfied with our products and services.

Vermiculite is not asbestos. We've developed alternatives to using
vermiculite as a result of our research
and development program of continuous product improvement. With the
retrofitting of our manufacturing
facility to new technology, our vermiculite use has declined steadily and
recently we stopped using
vermiculite altogether.

Your local County Extension Agent has all of the resources of your state's
agricultural university at their
disposal and may have a list of sources where to purchase vermiculite. You
can find the phone number
for your county extension agent under "County Offices" in your telephone
directory or on the Scotts
website at:

Please feel free to email or call us on our toll free help line
1-800-543-8873 if we can answer any
additional questions or offer assistance for your future efforts.
