Re: People not understanding the stress and strains of teaching

    You're right about us being mindful of those others who work hard: people
who have their own businesses, construction workers, field workers, and many
others. It's true. But there are a lot of people who have real cushy jobs and
make a ton of money. The fact is, many people (politicians) don't know about
the deterioration of our schools, the overcrowding, and the poor conditions
that public school children live in. Right now, teachers are being held
accountable for low test scores. A lot of schools view Art Teachers
especially as a "frill", an elective class that doesn't affect their school's
test scores. So, it's not whining that we're doing, it's an acknowledgement
for those teachers who are doing a great job under often daunting
