Wow! You're lucky to have all those scraps--I believe Michael's Arts and
Crafts charges for scraps.

I use mat board scraps for cover boards when making handmade books. (I
usually cover the boards with decorative paper.) They are excellent for this
purpose--they never seem to warp.
