This is the first time that I have responded to onne of these e-mails. I feel that I must share my positive experience. I teach at a private Catholic School in Ore. The parents are totally supportive of the Arts. I have been there thirteen years. I have at least a half hour between classes to set up if I need it. I am only 80%, but I enjoy having Mondays off. I really work more than full time as you all know. I have totl support from the rest of the staff and we do many colaborative cross curriculum projects. I've been thrugh three principals and have had the least supposrt from the one I work under now which is discouraging at times. Blut she would dare fool with my program(if you want to call it that) the parents would not allow it! the hard thing is moving on because I love the kids and families so much.

I have chosen to teach. I have shown my work and I continue to do so whenever I get the tap on my shoulder to produce something. so I don't agree with the saying those who can do and those who can't teach. We choose to teach. We love to teach We love to learn from our students!!!! Marie Acurso
