I have the answer to your question!!!!! It is the Rototrim! It is a rotary paper cutter and it is wonderful. It has a gridded portion and a bar with the cutter on it that you slide from right to left and back to right. I first got one years ago in VA and now have another. There are other brands but I am sold on the Rototrim. It lasts for years although it costs a little more at the beginning. It might be in the Sax catalog. I will check. Anyone else have this wonderful cutter? Sometimes, just for fun, I trim paper. It's mindless and very theraputic (ha) And no worry of chopping off any fingers.......although I still threaten from time to time.
