Hello everyone,
I was a member of this listserve a few years ago and really enjoyed
"talking" and sharing ideas with you all. I hope to resume that nice
relationship as I re-join the list.

I have a question that I can't seem to find the answer to and was hoping
that you could help. I am an elementary art teacher and clay is a big part
of my curriculum. I am soon ending my first trimester of pregnancy and now
have concerns as to whether using clay in the classroom will cause health
issues for my unborn child. I have a kiln right next to my classroom (can
enter from a door in my classroom) and we always glaze. I can't seem to
find any information on this....and other teachers that I have talked to
say "don't do it"...hope you can help. I am rearranging and intensifying
my curriculum to keep my students from asking "when are we gonna do
clay???"

Thanks for your advice,
Stephanie
