I do a very similar lesson to Dennis' cartoon picture,except we also add Benday
dots with punchello ribbon as stencils. The kids color in the dots in at least
one area. Some choose to do backgrounds ( which are a lot more work!) because they
love the look of the dots. Dennis is right, it is a very popular lesson(
especially with my middle schoolers.)
