Re: talking and learning / Quiet ?

I was once told by an adminisrator that students should only be talking about
art during my hs classes there is always the social aspects of
their conversations...(which usually take place in small groups of students
in class) but there have been highlights that have included incredible
discussions on art, their own, other students or art history....and
discussions about math, science, world history, current events etc.and even
sign langauge! Once I even had to bring in a history teacher to better
define historical events! It keeps you on your toes so you can know when to
include art in the conversation. It is what makes the art room such a unique
and wonderful place to learn.
