Hey, has anyone tried this? Our woodworking teacher is ordering a boatload of alabaster--he saw some bowls that were made by using wood-turning tools (they're absolutely gorgeous) and asked if I'd be interested in going in on the order with him.
Supposedly it's a soft enough to cut with wood carving tools, but I'm wondering if that's the case, if breakage is a problem, what about dust (i.e. should kids wear masks), etc. etc.
