We used the felt tip calligraphy pens (fifth grade) for calligraphy. I'm left
handed and they work great. I had a parent come in and teach it. She did
everything on the overhead projector. The kids used calligraphy paper with
slanted lines. Then I had them make personal Early American frakturs with
their calligraphy. The lesson and examples are in Susan Rodriguez' book
"Culture Smart"'.
