painting with icing

Someone on this list gave me the idea a few months ago of doing "food
art" with kids by painting on grahm crackers with icing. Does anyone have
a recipe for a good icing recipe that is conducive to this activity? I
was thinking there was a recipe for a powdered sugar icing that would set
up after a few minutes and get firm.
