I have to sign for anyone to take any course above Art I. I also sign for Art
I if they are above the ninth grade. Why don't you guys see if you can't get
your administration to go along with a similar policy. We preregister in the
Spring and they have to have teacher signatures for every course. They only
students who don't go through the process are the incoming freshman. And even
some of them are allowed to skip Art I on the recommendation of their middle
school Art teacher. So far that has worked very well.
