Re: unruly class (long and windy)

one table at a time is a matter of course in my classroom. Unfortunately,
the students who were asked to wait until their turn, got up, went running
around the room and smeared printing ink on the tables and their hands. The
problem I am having is honestly not one of classroom management. It is one
of finding the way to manage these particular children. I have all
kindergarten students cleaning up an entire painting lesson quietly and in
less than 10 minutes. In fact most of my students understand what is
expected of them during clean up. These students cannot even pay attention
long enough to hear one direction, much less, bring your work to the drying
rack, put your newspaper in the trash and your printing equipment in the
sink. A three step direction is a reasonable expectation.
