Just to clarify, The American Visionary Museum in Baltimore does not
show only the work of emotionally or developmentally disabled artists
but, in fact, shows the work of Outsider Artists, who create work
outside the mainstream of Fine Art or traditional Folk Art. Many of the
outsider artists are not emotionally or cognitively challenged. (The
European definition, however, of Outsider Art is different than the
American definition).
