Holly
I have done this also with only three minutes passing. It does work.
I give the warning that I am going to watch the clock and if they see me =
watching the clock they know they are giving up their passing time to =
the next class.
they may loose 10 sec., 20 sec. 30 sec. ...1 min...
If they aren't getting it, I write the sec. on the board
they learn very quickly that every sec. counts
In one or just a few days, it doesn't have to be done any more. If the =
problem arrises again I start watching the clock again. =20

However long it takes for them to settle down and get started, they =
owe me=20
that much time at the end of the period. =20

Hi Donna,=20

We only have 3 minutes between classes, and I have a new class =
entering=20
during that time, so that wouldn't work for me. I'd like to have =
detention=20
during my lunch period, but the offending classes have core classes =
then... =20
I'll have to check out what options I have with my AP I guess......=20

Thanx for sharing. My schedule won't be this one forever! Maybe one =
day I=20
can do what you said!=20
