This past year was my first year teaching ceramics- so, I can only speak of
what the teacher before me had purchased to use. We used AMACO white
earthenware clay for most of what we did that we would later glaze. I found
that the white earthenware showed the colors of the glaze better than the
red earthenware did. In fact, all of our clay tools and glazes were AMACO.
I'm in the process of purchasing supplies, too, and would appreciate any
replies you receive that are not posted.
