Computer graphics lessons

Next year I will be teaching a middle school computer graphics class that
will last one marking period. We will be on Macintosh computers, and will
have access to scanners, digital cameras, a T.V. studio, and programs such
as Color It and Clarisworks (appleworks). I might be able to use photo
deluxe on a teacher station, but we dont have a site licence for this
program. This summer I will be developing lessons for this class. I would
like to keep this class as "Art" based as I can, so that it stays in the
realm of the art department.I would be grateful for any advise or lessons
from anyone who has expertise in this area .Paula .
