Several people asked about the L.A. VTS training...here is the info.
Visual Thinking Strategies Summer Institute Meeting the Needs of
Beginning Viewers presented by Philip Yenawine, VUE co-director
Los Angeles County Museum of Art: Teaching and the Needs of
Beginning Viewers June 22-25
The workshop will focus first on Housen's Theory of Aesthetic
Development, particularly as it pertains to the strengths and needs
of beginning viewers, and second on how it can be applied to

and selecting images. Strategies for training both teachers and
docents will be addressed briefly. Written materials will be
supplied to support the workshop discussions. Wkshop cost is $500
per person. 3 people from same institution for $1200. Contact
