Two weeks ago in my town two high school boys were found in art class making
a fake bomb on the floor. It was apparently very realistic. Security was
called and they were taken away, as was my friend's son who was sitting near
them, painting a watercolor tree. The bomb squad was called in, it made the
front of the paper, students were evacuated. Before being taken away in
handcuffs, the two boys finally admitted they didn't even know my young
tree-painting friend and had no idea why he was being included in this
little fiasco. The administration is falling over themselves apologizing to
his mom.

Nobody seems to be wondering what the art assignment was that left two boys
alone long enough to get a "sculpture" project that far along totally
unobserved and other painting a watercolor tree.
