There is no problem giving best athlete awards, Valedictorian ,
etc. Why not an award or two for art? But certainly not an
award for everyone! I hate to sit through those superficial
awards where you know you got the pity award, for cleanest paper,
most improvement , most average work, yadda yadda yadda
everyone knows who has the best art in the room, why not
acknowledge and for once give people who excel some recognition?
The students realize not everyone is an exceptional artist and
giving an award for mediocrity is not honest.
