One idea I have kids do is take a piece of typing paper (or
sulphite if you have it, doesn't matter). Fold it about 6
times. Open it up and use a ruler to draw over the fold lines.
Fill each section with a different design or pattern. Go over
all the lines, patterns, etc. with a black marker. Color this
with crayons. The catch is that you must use the crayon dark
enough to make it look like marker. This makes those who always
color so lightly do a little more work. Plus, since it is their
design, they like it more.
