I was thinking about doing a time capsule with my students. Each child will
create their own capsule (out of cheeto canisters or you could make a box
out of clay) and fill it with a handmade book, family tree, portraits, etc..
Still thinking of more things. You could incorporate Andy Warhol into the
lesson somehow. He kept time capsules for several years. The Warhol museum in
Pittsburgh has them. Each year Andy would put a box next to his desk and
during the year would fill it up with letters, pictures, etc. There are years
and years of capsules that he created! Really interesting since he knew so
many people! I think the museum itself was making a time capsule. Might check
their website.

Hope this helps! Please post any other ideas. I would like to see what others
have to say about this.
