I would like to know the different solutions your school has come up with
for serving large numbers of Elem. students. Specifically, around 900
students (next yr's projection). Our principal ( and alot of our staff)
have visions of an application based learning environment for our school,
including "Specials" teachers having time to do extra and special
integrated projects with the reg. ed teachers. We need to know of
different solutions to serving so many youths. As it is, we have 800.
We see K-2 for 30 min. 3 for 35 and 4-5 for 40. We have three EC
classes. We need feedback on block scheduling, using 1/2 positions to
serve part of the population, 6 day rotations (Pennsylvania folks!) or
any other successful ways you are dealing with large numbers.
Please reply to my personal email: t35839.us and use
"Elem. Scheduling" as the subject. This will help me weed out the
messages. Helpful comments only, please. I didn't join this listserv to
get bashed.

Thanks.
