I had already been thinking of opening the year next fall with a small
archeological unit - so much of what I teach is based on information
collected and analyzed by archeologists. I love Ellen Hall's garbology
exercise; its a great opener and a perfect beginning for considering found
evidence.I'm going to end this year with a survey of shelters used through
time and then we're going to go on walks and consider shelters we see in
terms of construction materials and use and visual appeal Laurie Muelder
