I just dump the old clay.
I saved and saved and saved for years and years and years.
I tried to knead it all myself and didn't have the time.
I tried to train parent volunteers, and after an hour of kneading, they never
came back.
Clay is cheap, so I just buy more. I order what I'll need at the beginning
of each year and plan for those scraps to be tossed out.
I save way too much stuff, anyway, and felt kinda proud to be able to toss
something!
