There were a couple of posts within the last few days or so about
self-portraits, and I believe someone mentioned a Renaissance artist who
utilized fruit and other forms of naturen into his portraits. The name
of the artist is Giuseppe Arcimboldo. He lived in Milan from 1527 to
1593. His work is awesome, and is a good reference point for developing
lessons ranging from portraits to working sculpturally in any medium.
Just thought I would share.
