Usually anything outdoors works well....
One idea kids like: take sketch pads outside. Pick grasses or pick
dandelions (or "buy" some flowers) and "draw and paint" with them by
squishing and crushing them over the paper. Twigs and charcoal found
outdoors also add color. Anything you can find outside....
