I think Masami Teraoka is the one you are referring to. (??) There's an
article about him in the February, 1989, magazine "Art & Man" by
Scholastic. It also shows a picture of his "Samurai Businessman Going Home
II" -- complete with umbrella, golf club, and calculator, but looking like
an old woodblock print.
