Re: colored glue

Casein glue: Heat 1 cup whole milk and 2T vinegar. Stir just until the milk
starts to curd and becomes lumpy. The curds you see are called casein.
Remove from heat. Strain out the liquid and discard. Put the curds in a
container. Add 2T of water and 1/2t of baking soda. Mix well. You now have
glue just like the white glue you buy at a store!

I have made this with kids and they are fascinated. To make colored glue I
would add food coloring to the milk before cooking.
