Hi,
I have 2 potters wheels and I want to start using them! (Ive only been
at this school for a year and halve) With only 2 wheels, I thought I
could assign 2 5th graders per wheel for each class... and begin near
the beginning of the year. My wheels are electric and made be shimpo or
something like that... do I need to buy bats that fit on the pegs on my
wheels??? I had ceramics in college but only had a hand built class. I
stayed after class quite often to "play" around on the potters wheel and
learned to throw. I absolutely LOVED it@! but it has been some time
since and Im not sure how to use only 2 wheels in a classroom setting...
Should I worry about haveing the 5th graders trim their own foot?? I see
the kids once a week and by then the pots would be hard..... any ideas
are helpful!!
thanks
sher
