Monart method

I was browsing in the bookstore recently and saw a book called
"Drawing with Children" by Mona Brooks (or Brookes). It promoted a
method of teaching drawing called the "Monart" method, and I wondered if
anyone knew of it or the book and could comment. It has the same
publisher as "Drawing on the Right Side of the Brain".
There were a lot of rather startling before-and-after pictures by
children as young as five and the claims made seemed a bit
grandiose. However I'm always on the lookout for new ideas and
viewpoints.
Any comments?
Thanks,
Wendy
