Get the book Puzzles About Art , An Aesthetics Casebook for an interesting way
to approach aesthetics at any age level. ISBN 0-312-00307-2, by Battin,
Fisher, Moore and Silvers. Also consider some games such as sorting pictures
according to an Art, Non art classification, then discussing what criteria was
used for the decisions that were made. I have also used an old Peanuts strip
in which Lucy ...or Linus...makes a picture of a landscape wit a log cabin,
etc. in it, then declares "now, that's art!' as a discussion starter. There
are some great Calvin and Hobbes strips too that lead into a discussion of
aesthetics. There is also an NAEA publication on aesthetics that is very good.
Good luck!
