Attention ArtsEdNet subscribers:

As of April 30th ONLY ArtsEdNet Talk subscribers are allowed to post to
the listserve. This action has become necessary in light of the recent
spams (abusive messages) that have been appearing on the list. We
hope that this will hinder the porno site spammer and the hostile one
timers.

If you are having trouble sending your message to the list, please e-mail
us at artsednet so that we can confirm your proper e-mail
account. Many times e-mail accounts have variations that make it difficult
to do the automated unsubscribe and these variations will also now
prevent you from posting to ArtsEdNet Talk.

We still have over 1000 people participating in ArtsEdNet Talk. If you are
overwhelmed by the number of messages, you can always subscribe to
the digest version of ArtsEdNet Talk. Instructions on how to do this are
located at:
http://www.artsednet.getty.edu/education/teacherartexchange/Connections/how.html
This page will also give you instructions on how to unsubscribe from
ArtsEdNet Talk.

>From now on, those of you that are not able to keep up with the
ArtsEdNet Talk flow (i.e. your mailbox is always full and we receive
messages from your host telling us so), we will automatically switch you
to the digest version. We are doing this for two reasons.

1) Many people have trouble following the directions or don't know that
the digest version exists.
2) We receive hundreds of bounce messages for every account that is
either invalid or their mailboxes are full (especially from AOL).

ArtsEdNet Talk will remain unmoderated but we do reserve the right to
unsubscribe people who are hostile, rude, or create flame wars on this
list.

We would also like to take this moment to advise you not to include
attachments to the e-mails you send to this listserve. Many users are
unable to access attachments; this includes everyone that is on the
digest version or is viewing ArtsEdNet Talk via the Web. Attachments
are also a great way to catch and spread a computer virus. Please
refrain from sending messages with attachments.

Thank you all for your lively conversation!
