With the emphasis on improving reading (and all) scores in our school, I
allow my students to read library books if they finish early and have
nothing else in their folder to work on....I also have a shelf of books from
them to choose from. Our media center discards books from time to time and
I take some for this purpose. Plus I have old art books that they can use
to draw from.
