The lab's upgrade has been postponed a year (not sure what the politics are
there--it was supposed to happen now--as a new teacher I don't want to raise a
stink first thing). Anyway, I would like to get my hands on a manual for Mac
system 6 (maybe 5--was there such a thing?)--the lab is equipped with such older
computers (Mac LC's with 8 MB RAM), and I'm a system 7.5 aficionado! The
district hired me for my technology skills, but I'm clueless about this earlier
system--I couldn't "Get Info" for instance, on the hard drive to check storage
capacity; I don't know how to rebuild the desktop, etc.
SO-o-o-o, If any of you were using the Mac precursors to system 7 and have
manuals collecting dust... please let me know! I'll have to hobble along on
these old things for (hopefully only) one year.
Thanks,
Margaret
P.S. Also, any grant writing tips would also be appreciated. When we upgrade, I
want to REALLY do it right! For a technology magnet school, this old equipment
is pitiful (but typical for an urban public school, unfortunately)--so if I can
increase the upgrade budget with grants, I'd be thrilled.
Thanks again
