<< I'm a student...working on a Project on Henri Matisse...

My assignment was to pick a famous French person...research and present
what i found...we have to include a class the presentation....
I don't know exactly what to do as an activity...obviously it has to be
related to Henri Matisse...and his artwork...i would appreciate any
suggestions on this...and I present on May the 30th so any time soon would
be great... >>

A famous series of photos shows Matisse, an old man by this time and nearly
blind, drawing on the walls of his studio, paint brush taped to the end of a
long stick. His images had become large now and very loose and in primary
colors or bright colors so that he could still see them with his faltering
vision. I have copied this technique with my students: paint brushes taped to
sticks, painting on large pieces of paper taped to the walls. Wonderful
experience, terrific results.
