Greetings
I am a student at Cal State San Bernardino. I am finishing up a
single teaching credential in art, and I will start on a master degree in
education in the fall. I hope to get a job teaching high school ceramics
or sculpture.
I have been working on lessons plans in my art education class
and notice how difficult it is to find resources on ceramists. I
can find a paragraph or two on an artist in most of the major ceramics
books, but that is about it. I am especially interested in the artist
Richard Notkin. My research has turned up many interesting facts about his
life, but not much on his artworks. I would like to incorporate a social
political art project in my lesson and tie it into Notkin work. I am
working on some great leads and would appreciate any help or resources
that you may have. I would also appreciate information on Chinese
Yixing ware. All ideas and leads are greatly appreciated.

Sincerely,
Michelle
